Our team members love working alongside children in their home, school or our clinic spaces to help them acheive their goals.  In 2019, we worked with over 2,800 kids!

Meet Karen, our director and occupational therapist.  Karen loves working alongside kids and their adults to learn to manage their big feelings.  Karen has a specialist interest in identifying and supporting the needs of gifted and twice exceptional kids.  Karen is a board member for giftEDnz, an organisation which supports and empowers professionals who work with gifted children and adults through research and advocacy.  Karen is co-author of the book 'Identifying Giftedness in the Diagnostic Process; The implications of giftedness in diagnosing and maanging ADHD, ASD and Learning Disorders'

Meet Abbey, our Oamaru-based occupational therapist.  Abbey particularly enjoys working with primary-school age children to help them become independent at home and school.  Abbey is our handwriting super star, bringing with her lots of experience helping children be able to share their strengths through writing.


Meet Jessica.  Jess is a neurorehab extraordinaire, with lots of experience supporting teens and adults recovering from brain and spinal injuries.  Jessica enjoys applying her Occupational Therapy skills in a meaningful way to improve community wellbeing for families and our young people. Jessica has a particular interest in working with teenagers utilising her previous skills in community mental health.

Meet Shea, our occupational therapy assistant.  Shea is our early childhood gem, bringing her 15 years early childhood teaching experience, including 11 years supporting tamariki at Dunedin Public Hospital as a hospital based play specialist.  Shea is also a Rainbow Kids Yoga instructor.  She supports our young people, and their family, kindy or school, to achieve the goals they have identified through an occupational therapy assessment.
